particle filter question

Right, on the 07 1.6 hdi berlingo, there are no sensors on or after the particle filter, why does it need a remap after removal,

Hi, Only thing I can see in procedure is to check that the pressure sensors are working.

mine is a different dpf, it doesnt split and theres no sensor connections on it.

only connections are exhaust in and exhaust out[/align]

It doesn't need a remap as such, although it might help a bit.

What it needs is for it to be deleted from the ECU. If this isn't done you will get fault codes as the ECU will be looking for signals from sensors that either don't exist, or are out of range.

Not familiar with this system, sorry didn't notice that yours has no sensor. As an example, some PSA had an indicator that more Eolys fluid should be added, this was linked to the number of times the fuel filler had been opened. Or, you have my nemesis the MAF sensor indicating whether the EGR circuit is working

Ok, this is what's listed for your engine. According to this it has no particle filter only a Catalytic converter (item 10). Confusedcratch:

I thought only the Mk3 110bhp & later Mk3 90 & 75bhp diesels had dpf?

can i remove the cat without a remap?

what power does it say my van is?
