Just thought I'd post this as a bit of a heads up, after taking my daughter to school today I got home and as I dipped the clutch to put Bernie into reverse a nice shiny nut fell on to my foot. My first thought was oh bugger, I had a look at the nut and it didn't look like it had ever seen a spanner which on an 11 year old car is quite a thing, however on having a look I found that it was the nut off of the clutch pedal pivot, I've put it back on for now but I'm going to replace it with a nyloc nut. So keep a look out and check your nuts. Good job it came off now and not a few weeks back when I did 750 miles in 8 days while on holiday in Dorset, when I replace it I'm going to lubricate the pivot and hopefully it won't come off again..
