Key remote
#1
My key fob failed me yesterday, the lock button presses in but there is no feeling of resistance and of course it does not operate, I had a look inside and a small pressbutton thingy fell out, it looks like it is supposed to be soldered onto the circuit board. Can I buy another or is there a repair for this one, I expect a new one is a dealer only purchase and expensive. Any advice please ? Sad

Hi, it's repairable. If you pay for the postage costs I'll resolder it on for you or if the button is u/s replace it at the cost. Just won't be able to test it.
Usually these come off due to the switch being hit and miss and so extra pressure is needed to operate it.Confusedalut:

Thanks, I thought this may have been a common problem:S but perhaps not. Thanks for your kind offer, but I already had a go, thought "what have I got to loose", despite dodgy eyes and hand trembles, I did manage to re-solder it, not the most proffesional looking repair but it works:thumbsup:
