Andre, can you turn my steel wheels into 17" alloys and my bank account into positive numbers?

instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd add to this one...
The aerial is getting battered each time I move the car in/out of my garage (very low garage door! and aerial never lies completely flat), I assumed it would unscrew but after attacking it with a pair of pliers all I have managed to do is mash up the plastic outer!
It should unscrew right?
If not, then I may look into a shark fin aerial...

Yes they do unsrew, but if they aint been removed for ages they tend to seize up. Get a grip of the base so it dont move and try turning the aerial back and forwards It may let go in the end. Try to get some plus gas or similar in the joint. I replaced mine with a 300mm aerial.
Are we there yet?????

I have some Plusgas, think I'll spray some on it now and leave it to work whilst I have me dinner :-)
I thought it unscrewed, thanks for confirming.

nope, it's properly stuck, all I succeeded in doing was turning the whole aerial fitting on top of the roof :-(
