Oh yee of little faith :woop:
Sailed through MOT without any mention of the exhaust ! or its missing cat  emissions spot on !
So to re-cap that's a 1.9 D 2003 lingo had its original cat chopped out and replaced with stainless steel pipe ( no frills ) passing an MOT , you heard it first on BBC , that's Blingo Basket Cases .
And to put a tin hat on it the guys loved my shiny pug alloys Confusedanta:

Not surprised it passed, Really never thought a cat on a diesel did anything of note anyway.

Good for you. Mind had my forthcoming 2009 1.6hdi had a dpf that would have been removed as soon as possible.

DPF and CAT aren't in the current MOT tests for diesels AFAIK. As long as smoke 'K' value is under 1.5, it'll go through with a straight pipe, even on WVO..... >Smile

CAT only really serves to take the accrid stink out of the exhaust from crappy fuel. Smile

Spoke to the local specialist http://www.marshcitroenrepairs.co.uk great bloke.
Told me that the test is exacly the same for catalised or non catalised diesels the only issue was that technically the taxation class may be changed (not an MOT issue)
If you live in SE kent I cant praise these people:woop: highly enough the hourly rate is reasonable. A couple of jobs for instance, stiff gear cahnge (sorted by 15 mins on the ramp) £13.00. Catalyctic converter cracked around the weld & pulled apart (after moving 250kg of lathe from S.end to E Kent) 20 mins ramp time to re weld £20.00:woop: great value & service. And Dave & Paula are into classic bikes as well:lol:.
