Correct x2.
And with the recent (low) standard of driving seen on our roads, it is MORE important that the idiots can see you coming!

On a slightly different tack, has anybody noticed direction indicators seem to be out of fashion now (or is it just around here ), I can wait to pull out at a traffic island several minutes, slowly getting wound up by drivers failing to indicate turning left allowing me to go straight on, I've been behind a car many times who after waiting has finally decided to go, straight in front of a car not indicating because he is going straight on.

No - it's not just around there. In fact, they seem to have been out of fashion for a few years.

Lights, indicators, awareness, courtesy, patience, manners, mirrors, concentration, lane discipline, etc., etc., etc.
All these have been lost over recent years. illyme:

I think the problem is that indicators must be an option on certain makes.
Is it arrogance? My favourite curse is that these people have a £30,000+ car,but a 10p brain.
