Sorry not to be of any help, but my berlingo has exactly the same fault, tensioner seems all cock eyed! Will be having a go at it over the next couple of days! No idea how to get it out, the pully bearing seems fine, its the arm it attaches to thats the problem. Hopefully some advice will be along shortly to help us both.

Hi again tensioner and belt arrived this morning so went out in the rain and had a go whipped drivers wheel off lowered engine 45 male star key undid mounts. Quite easy to get to tensioner alan key, got new one in bit fiddly but not two bad. Got belt looped round then with a 15mm ring spanner held tensioner back and slipped belt over power steering pump. been out in it today all running fine. Took a couple of hours so not too bad :-)
