an unusual outing for a partner
#1
My partner (girlfriend not car) is a sculptor and had created a rather large Train lantern which fitted round my partner (car not girlfriend) and last weekend i drove it down the main road of Oban. Due to the shape of lantern i could only enter and exit the car by crawling through the sliding side door, and had no visibility so had a spotter walking alongside giving directions. Parade ended with lantern being taken off car, put on a raft and floated out into the bay where it was set fire to. Much fun was had by all, enjoy the picts.

Excellent!
I do wonder if that crane was a bit of overkill. Surely, its just some tissue and light wood? Or was the crane there anyway for other things?

so let me see if I got this right, you had to disguise your partner from your partner while you entered from be...? no I wont go there.
Like the lantern a lot, well done to her, could be a candidate for pic of the month?

It was tissue paper, bamboo and willow with very little weight even on the raft but the crane was there as there is a 20ft drop from the pier to the water and had to ensue it went down level
