replacement radio this still works from steering unit

can anyone please recommend a decent radio (dab ipod friendly )that will still work from the steering arm controls

There are various patch cables you will have to get to connect in to the original wiring. One of these has a unit which connects to the stalk control wiring. Expect to pay £40 plus for it! I got mine ( a Pioneer but not dab) from Halfords and they spent some time explaining and finding on their database all the connectors I would need. Good service, they even got the fitter to come out and chat to me about it, even tho I was fitting it myself.

Yes you will need to buy an additional cable/lead to re-enable the steering column control feature.

I decided to save myself the money however and simply extend my left arm slightly to reach the radio controls in the centre-dash, it's tricky, but doable :-)

oh Gawd -its so far away though.
Ive had to sit through xfactor and americas got talent because I cant reach the remote.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
