Pre-Heater Control Box 1.6HDi
#1
Hi again,
1.6HDi - I have one remaining fault to track down (so far).
One permanent Injection fault - Pre-heat Relay P1351 - must be duff feedback from the relay as the engine is starting on the button in the cold.
I have had a good look around the engine bay along the bulkhead, on both wings and around the rad/intercooler area to find the control box - where is it hiding???
The diagram is arrowed to the unit I'm looking for.

If the diagram is realistic, it should be over around the brake servo area?
Have they attached it to the engine under the air box?
Too cold to strip it out and follow the heater wires till I find it - anyone point me to where it's hidden?
(probably in plain sight) Confusedillyme:

Usually it's on the near side inner wing just before the headlight.

Left hand inner wing as above or front panel near radiator on some.
So where does this bit go then ?

Had another look now its a bit warmer.
Found a relay box behind the panel next to the fuse box as in pics. Confusedcratch:

The relay box has two 40A fuses and two green relays.
The wiring from the relays looks too thin for pre-heaters or is this another example of Fr**ch eclectrics?
Is this the 'pre-heat box' I am looking for or something else?
Thanks for the help. Confusedalut:

No this is for the water heater (frost protection).
Looks like it's under the headlamp. Item 1158 Confusedalut:

Thanks for the diagram, went back and removed the plastic panel with the relay box attached.
Top fixing ok, bottom fixing ok but a third fixing half way down??
After much flexing of panel and 1/8 turns of a 10mm ring until it came loose and there it was. Rolleyes

Checked it out - fully electronic and gel filled - cleaned up the connections but fault P1351 still comes back after a restart - looks like a replacement needed then. :S
Cut a slot in the center fixing of the panel so that it will be easier to remove next time when a new control is fitted.

Thanks again for the pointers. Confusedalut:
