What engine and spec have you got. Loads of info on the various engines fitted in your motor. First thing I would do would be to give it a good service and check everything out so you have a base to start from.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Make sure you use the correct type of oil in these engines, there is loads on here to scare you to death about turbo failures and egr problems and oil contamination. Supurb little engine you just have to look after it.

Great can you recommend a good oil, like to change it myself at least then you know it is right oil can't see garages putting expensive oil in . so many of these cars on road hard to see them being a bad motor.listening to my mechanic and reading some of stuff on here I was scared to death.

I would stick to the exact oil citroen recommend regardless of its price.-sometimes this is on a plate near the engine or in the manual/service book.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

For mine I use only TOTAL Quartz Ineo ECS 5w-30. I get it for €4.40/liter. I'm sure others will be as good as long as they meet the PSA spec. The topic of oil has been beaten to death on the forum so have a search and you'll get a lot of thoughts/into to troll thru.

NO

The only thing you should ever flush with is new oil of the correct spec
