intro

Just got my first berlingo (2009 XTR) yesterday and am thrilled! I joined the forum a week ago in anticipation, so can now post here. Wanted to get one since renting in france in 2004 and despite some familial resistance, have managed it eventually. As there is a distinct lack on enthusiasm for all (or any) thing(s) Berlingo related at home, I hope to be able to share here with like minded enthusiasts.

You wait until they need something taken somewhere...you'll suddenly become extremely sensible!!

Thanks Ol'Jeffers. I will try to bide my time before starting to gloat too much. When my wife realises she can now take as many pairs of shoes as she likes on our annual camping trip (very important apparently), and my daughter will actually be visible in the back (usually smothered by various items of equipment), I will find it hard to resist singing nah, na na naa na!!

Welcome. Got the same, van with windows, bit boxy innit, looks cacky poo!! But as Ol'Jeffers said and one of my previous posts, your the best thing since sliced bread once you whip the seats out and you become the family and friends removal man!! I'm not usually a smug type person but It's been simmering since purchase. I have a quiet confidence in my four wheeled Tardis and it's versatility and I'm gradually getting less paranoid about the turbo and suspension issues. The pro's certainly outweigh the cons up to now. Good luck with your new toy.

How soon they forget.........when they need to go somewhere, or need something collected.

Thanks Andre but far too busy admiring the var ( wife hates me calling it a van, so daughter came up with var as a compromise name) to take photos, and besides it looks like pretty much any other Ive seen. However, I can assure you photos will be forthcoming, once I have the time, money, skill and imagination to complete one of the removable camper van conversions I have seen on this site........!
