Berlingo Kangaroo
#1
Video
Hi,

My 2004 2.0hdi mildly 'kangaroos' on a light throttle load of around 2500 rpm in top gear. Things smooth out if you apply a load to the engine. Any ideas, thanks for your help.

I wouldn't call 2500 rpm in top gear pootling, it's 70mph

No,but 2500 rpm is pootling. On long trips I drop to 4th for a few miles just to blow the soot out.
The point I was trying to make is that a lot of diesels are driven for economy & it can soot them up.I have taken many diesels for a "mobile decoke" in my time.Confusedalut:

2500rpm for 15mins once a month is recomended for DPF regeneration.

Mine gets a run on the motorway at 2500 rpm for at least an hour a time 4 times a week, don't reckon mine will be coked up!
