Hello
I would like to say fellow Belingo owner's
But as yet I drive a Rover 420sdi which like me is getting a bit tired and may not be cost effective to keep much longer.
So when it goes a belingo may just tick all the boxes for it's replacement
That said I'm information gathering so as to be clued up just in case I see one of interest Smile

Welcome to the forum

Have you got a particular one in mind? Are you looking for a specific model?
2005 Berlingo Multispace 1.6i Desire (Iron Grey)

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Hello Chris .
The mot on the Rover is up in May and it needs Cam belt etc ,gearbox changing "rattles like hell", new clutch Plus any Mot faults .Its been a good car but I could do with something a little easier to get in and out of.
As I would also use it to pull my caravan and carry my guitars and amps to clubs, I would be looking at 2 litre or 1.6 hdi diesel.
I would be looking for an older one as they tend to get a few knocks a bumps in some of my parking spots.
Time will tell

If you need to get an older one, I think it would be good to suggest a 2.0HDi
with a service history.

Take a look here:

The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

The easy access thing is pointing to a MK3 - the seat hight is going to be a godsend after a rover-I know from experience.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Thank you for your replies .
After floating around the forum I would be leaning towards a 2.0 hdi.
The 1.6 hdi with it's injector retaining bolt issues and turbo oil feed problems put me off the 1.6 hdi

The rear axle bar, nice to know what to look out for thanks to the forum, why they didn't put in grease nipples is beyond me.

Mk 3 out of my price range unfortunatly never mind could win the lotto then I would have a Landy Defender and a Sunbeam Tiger.

I shall wait for the right one not to pass me by.
Regards Paul

I think the problem is more fundamental than that - the bearings in practical employment, simply do not rotate enough to spread the grease about. It gets brinelled, corrosion adds to the mix, it then sheds its hardened outer layer. You can get new pins.

So we should all regularly and thouroughly bounce our back ends as a preventative measure? Rolleyes

Ha! I'm in agreement that it works for people... After market trailing arm bearings like SNR have more rollers of a smaller diameter in an effort to address this issue on the PSA rear axle.
