I went to Drax today to pick up a bargain caravan from East Coast Salvage for my niece. It was about 50 miles each way and the car tows the van well. I've not pulled anything with it before, we use a trailer tent but not in this weather
Very pleased with the performance on the motorway, no trouble pulling at the legal limit in fourth and fifth gear.
So where does this bit go then ?

Problem with towing is getting it moving and getting stopped.
Short first gear and youll pull any gear

It was a 960kg caravan and the Berlingo had no problem with getting it rolling or stopping it in normal driving. I only did one incline start at some lights and it was not much different to setting of without a load and when stopping the caravan does most of the braking at the rear. The towing limit on Berlingo is a bit low at 1100 kg but I suppose the weight of the vehicle is probably the limiting factor. It's plenty for what I will need anyway and pleased with the way it handles the load. Big thumbs up
