AIR FILTER AIR HOSES

The two large air hoses to/from the air filter will need to be removed to get to the oil filter when changing the oil filter. Are these just pull apart or is there another way. The air intake pipe unclips easily. Thanks in anticipation.

Hmmm, I've got an HDi and have never had to go anywhere near hoses to get to the oil filter. It sits right in the front of the motor.

Not on my 1.6HDI it doesn't.Its tucked away under the hoses.

i had the pipes of mine yesterday for a service, the left pipe from the turbo unclips (metal squeaze type) from the turbo then pull out to the right and gently unclip the little stubby breather pipe half way up and wiggle out, the right pipe just pulled out with a gentle wiggle, seeing the fuel filter being changed i would say not removing the pipes would make it almost imposible with the fuel pipes and wiring which on mine clips into filter to keep clean but doesnt do anything?, the main reason i did all this was to fit a k&n panel filter that lasts 50,000 miles between cleans, made economical sense seeing it takes nearly an hour to change air filter on it, very very fiddly with hidden screws and having to undo brake resevoir and remove sound deadening panel under scuttle

Solved - the air inlet hose to the air filter unclips from the inlet housing and by turning the whole assembly anti- clockwise it comes off easily as there is a bayonet fitting at the air filter end. This enables access to the oil filter. Thanking everyone for their input.
