Roof rack
#1
Hi guys.

Looking to get some roof bars for my van but not sure where to get them. I dont want to spend too much on them as they will only be used occasionally. Have been looking around and found these...

Has anyone seen or had this make to reccomend or not!?!?!

I had a set of these on my MK2 - they were fantastic quality for the money
I sold them 3 yrs later for not much less than I paid for them.

Ah good to know evdama. Did you find them easy to put on? Was thinking maybe try and find second hand ones, but all the ones near me dont have the bits for attatching to the van Sad

They were easy - just position the supports onto the roof tabs and assemble the 'jaws' to clamp them tight with a spanner.
BUT, as always, wanting to complicate things I bought a set of stainless steel security screws which needed a special driver to do them up .
Clearance was a little tight on the radius of the roof edge and I needed a cloth on the paint to stop it scuffing as I tightened them .
Normal folk should have no issues though.
The boss of Aiko is a really decent down to earth chap btw and always up for a discussion around his products

"...Normal folk should have no issues though."

My mind is reeling with appropriate but somewhat contentious replies!!
