I'd buy any brand but worry about not being able to sell it because of the predudice -so would'nt buy it in the first plac :S.
I'll freely admit I'm prejudiced in my car/van thinking. It's not my fault, but I haven't worked out who to blame yet! I reckon it's down to watching too much black and white television as a child! Anyway, I needed a van, so used the following highly prejudiced selection criteria & process:
1. Wanted a nice shiny new one
unny:
2. Wanted to be able to sell it when the time comes
3. Emissions/fuel not too bad (Yes, I do remember what this thread was originally about!)
4. Smallish van but not silly-smallish (once had a Bedford Rascal - anyone else remember pogo sticks?)
5. VW? tooooo expensive (motorhome territory - house would have to go!)
6. Ford? Too expensive for something that looks like a B&Q kitchen unit.
7. Renault? Idiotic "least-interested salesman in the world" at local dealership. Walked out!
8. Peugeot? Must have been the brother of the Renault guy! Couldn't find a van to show me, so suggested Citroen!
9. Citroen? Wow, 3 front seats! A good price & switched on salesman! I think I only bought it because I was so shocked to find anyone interested in selling a van!
I have historically been known to make scathing remarks about Citroen, based purely on prejudice. So now, let's see how it goes. I've read all about the faulty fuel injector bolts, axle whine and other problems, but Citroen now has a chance to make me a van fan, and "yes" I actually really like driving it too! :woop:
