Storage compartment removal.
#1
Was just wandering if anyone has removed the round storage compartment below the heater vent for any reason.I can get to it after removing the centre storage part below the radio, but i can only seem to push it partly out, the last thing i want is to break it.The reason is i have an idea i want to try for my sat nav holder. It may just need a bit more force but i just wanted to ask.

Well finally sorted the storage removal and fitted an adjustable sat nav holder which is designed to go in drink holders

Removing the storage holder is quite tricky and needs a bit of patience.

Now put the sat nav holder in and twist tight.

Add sat nav bracket and job done, nice and close to 12 volt output too.

It's a neat job but I like my sat nav up on the top not down in the depths.
So where does this bit go then ?

I use it more for the bluetooth and speed camera awareness to be honest,i don't go far enough in this car to need directions.

If it stays there much longer it'll be ready to go in the wheely bin

I had the same need, but used a different hole. Not as neat as yours but I was making use of an old holder and a lump of mahogany from the wood-pile. I trimmed it up on the chop-saw then stained it black, it could do with another coat. I used the centre storage as it seems to be pretty useless for anything else. The only things that won't fly out when you accelerate are receipts or a short banana or, now, my weighty sat-nav.
