[Brakes] need to know a part number please
looking up prices for a new drivers side front caliper for my 1.9d 2005 van. there's two calipers available, just need to know which one i need.

bosch caliper: CA2047R

lucas caliper: CA1693R

My 2004 model was Bosch but this doesn't mean yours is. Check to see if you have pad wear sensors on the brake pads. I think the Bosch ones don't

just been out and checked, no wires comming off the brakes so no wear sensors. so probably bosch.

there are numbers on the caliper but they are rusted to the point of being pretty much unreadable. so no help there.

will get back on the phone with my newly accuired info and hopefully get the right caliper priced.
Take a pad out and draw round it then get on the internet.

Brake suppliers show different shped pads and that will identify the caliper.

thanks, too late though, ordered a new caliper and if its the wrong one it can go back and be replaced for the right one, no questions asked. went through my uncles buisness account so i got trade price on it.

will update when i get the caliper.
