Internet slowed right down for the last 2 days and today drops out every few minutes.
Did all the home checks etc
I called Bombay.
The very-nice-lady-indeed did a test while her mate in the next booth quietly did a lovely rendition of Que Sera Sera .
Report-No Problems found.
I did protest somewhat
She did another test and found a record of 22 connection dropouts but 'no problem'!!!
She offered to send an engineer for £99 +vat if it turned out to be my kit at fault.
I view that as a kind of intimidation-are you going to risk a bill or just put up and shut up??

Im thinking of an Ofcom complaint.

Anyway once it connected I did an online connection test myself and it came back as "Open Fault"- cable damage at the exchange!

What do the letters 'BT' stand for........

I had loads of trouble with them after upgrading my broadbean package. They were supposed to apply a discount but didn't. I probably wasted my discount in the number of phone calls I had to make to get the bloody thing reinstated.

Mind you they were better than Virgin when we moved. Virgin wanted £40 to connect us to a ASDL line because there is no fibre optic down our road. They couldn;t do the work for about a month too and the line rental was extortionate. BT connected us for free in less than a working week. Virgin also had the cheek to charge us for leaving them.

I was with O2 for a few years and their speed was ok until about 2 years ago it got slower and slower. Called them a lot of times done speed tests and came back good at there end one person even told me the fault was with my pc! After 6 months arguing with them I finally went to Virgin, excellent speed day and night.
