Rear Engine Mount...
#1
Hi all,

Changed rear engine mount, garage pressed in a new bush and now steering wheel vibrates at idle?
So rather than the engine attempting to rip itself from its mountings each time I turned if off it I trying to vibrate itself to bits whilst idling ! Bloody Shitroens...got to love it but Japanese it aint!

Sounds like something aint been fitted right or is under strain causing the vibration.

Had the same with mine after changing to a polybush. If you used a standard mount it will quieten down.

Wish I read this post 30 mins ago before I changed the upper mount which has made zero difference to the vibration! I used a part from Eurocarparts part but a bush is a bush is a bush...do they need to be pressed in a particular orientation? Will it 'bed in'?

A bush is not a bush if it's cheap crap.Orientation is important when fitting bushes, mostly the hollows are horizontal but not always.
