STOP ....beep.....beep....beep

I was parking up In the driveway and my car started doing this at me.. STOP light on the dashboard and an audible beeping, there were no other lights illuminated on the dash.

Handbrake was off, temp read fine...

I had just got home from having a new cat fitted and the whole thing does kinda smell like burning/hot metal.

Any Ideas?

I'd make sure the cooling system is fully bled, also that the radiator fans are working.

If it's intermittent and especially happens on slopes or corners, check brake fluid level and top up right to the max mark...

You will gt the occasional hiccup from the system -even on new cars and especially after work done -let it cool off and try it round the block again.
