Head gasket
#1
Hi Guy's..

I've a 1.9 berlingo that needs the head gasket doing on it..

I'm a confident mechanic but never done a head gasket before and was wondering how big of a job is it?

also, I would like it for someone to give me an idea how long it will take me to do (so I can ideally plan some time to do it)..

Many thanks in advance

Straight forward gasket change by intelligent DIYer,allow 8-10 hrs.
However,in the motor trade we have sod's law.
Make absolutely the head is flat(skimmed),all surfaced are spotless, valve clearances are OK,New cambelt kit, water pump etc ready in back pocket.Flush cooling system & add good antifreeze/coolant.
Good luck.Confusedalut:
