This is getting rediculous, no other forum I use has problems anywhere near this bad, if at all.

I still reckon a membership fee in the pence (using PayPal or equivalent) for instant activation of new members, would help. At 4500 members times 20p, that's a good chunk of hosting fees.

People who didn't want to pay could submit their VIN (the data would not be retained afterward) and wait for human approval.
