Sump bolts

I've had to change the sump on my 1.9D (DW8).

The original sump looked like this:

The replacement from ECP looks like this:

It fits fine, but the new one has raised parts where some of the bolts need to go through, which the old one didn't. According to Service.Citroen.Com the new one is for an a/c car, which mine isn't.

Anyway, I just called the dealer to order the longer bolts, and they don't know which parts are required.

Online it lists some as 7x100-50 and some as 7x100-21. I assume that the "-50" refers to length, and they're the longer ones I need? They only come in bags of 20, at £28 per non-refundable bag, so thought I'd check here before wasting cash...
Wouldn't it be cheaper to get the correct sump or is it not possible to return it?

Too late to return it.
Surely you have an industrial fastener outlet on a trading estate near by
On a quiet weekday they love sorting out little projects like this, and dont mind selling individual bolts for cash
The bolts are often sold by the each at dealers. If you're getting stiffed by the local I suggest either the supplier idea above (although M7×1.00 thread isn't all that common) or try the French dealer "Accessoires Citroën Lorient" who I've found very good on item sales.

Another dealer is offering them by bags of 10 rather than 20, at 52p each. Quite a difference.

It's not the cost that bothers me that much, it's how much time it takes. I'd far rather get the right bolt first time than have to faff around trying various options.

Can anyone explain the notation though - what does 7x100-21 actually mean?
M7x1.00mm thread, 21mm nominal shank length.

7 is the bolt width in mm - that seems very small though for a sum bolt?
1.0 (if that's what you mean by 100?) is normally the thread pattern - ie 1mm between each thread, hence if you fit a 1.5 bolt you will knacker the sum thread up.
21 mm will be the length of the bolt
7mm are mainly an automotive size and 1.00 pitch is common on small bolt sizes. If you can get them from a local fastener sales they will probably be a couple of quid.
So where does this bit go then ?
Have you looked on eBay?
