Headunit Wiring Mare (Red and Yellow Wires)
#1
I'm pretty good with installing stuff usually - I've got everything working but the mare that I'm having is that the Berlingo is a bit stupid when it comes to matching the Red and Yellow cables.

red is switched power and yellow is permanent on my headunit and is pretty standard but I cant seem to find the match on the berlingo side.

I have it so I can have the head unit on at all times by putting them both to the permanent but I'd like it totally standard (so it turns on and turns off with the car and saves the settings!?)

Any idea's as I've tried most combinations and can't work it out!

Without taking my headunit out, and from distant memory, I THINK I took a switched live from the cigarette lighter to get around this problem.

Have a good trawl around the site, I'm sure the topic has been covered in detail before with diagrams and photos of looms/adapters etc.

(Possibly under Lemsworld's postings)

Good luck

oops I lied, it doesnt store the settings once the keys out! weird as I'm sure I tested it and it did... hmm maybe it resets after 10 minutes! I'll have a go at one of the above mods Big Grin
