Hi all,
Hope someone can help as my this has failed my MOT.
I have the fault codes P1F40 (unknown code) and B106F (passenger airbag no moving device fault: local, no characteristic)
I have tried cleaning both the connectors under the seat and also the orange connector going into the pretensioner, I've also had a mess with the wire going into the seat belt it's self.
Anyone ever solved this problem or can point me to what these codes mean?
Thanks alot

Don't forget the passenger side has a pretensioners as well. The air bag light might mean you have a Comms fault somewhere in your loom but a read with Lexia will be able to pin point it.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
The thing is the passenger side doesn't have a airbag, the guy with the dianostic said it may say passenger meaning the driver???
There is no pretensioner on the passenger side, the seat folds up and nothing under.
I take it a lexia is what citreon have?
Thanks

The passenger side should still have a pretensioner on the seat belt stalk even though no passenger airbag is fitted (mine does). It sounds odd that there's no wiring under the seat :-S
Lexia is Citroëns diagnostic tool.

I didn't mention its a berlingo van, it's a fold up seat with storage under
I've been told even though its has no passenger airbag the harness is still there? And this may be faulty

It's behind the plastic cover on the hand brake side.

Ok I'll have a look, is it accessible or will it involve removing seats etc?

There's two sunken screws holding the plastic in, remove them and you're in business.

I'm pretty sure there isn't one, there isn't a wire going into the seat belt it's self like the drivers side.

I'm presuming you are talking about the wire going into the seatbelt fastener? This is for the indication that your belt is fastened, nothing to do with the air bag.
The passengers side does not have one of these.
