Given the current economic climate I'd expect to see a facelift rather than an "all new" model to be honest

The old Berlingo went from 1996 until 2010. The old shape was still available a couple of yrs after the current model was introduced. So look out for a new bodyshell earliest in 2020 I would think. It is a commercial van body made into a car & van models normally stay in production longer than cars.

Hasn't it already had a face lift around the same time as the citroen chevrons were changed ? The mk1 mk2 and mk3 all had a 6 year run then were replaced but as you say about the economy maybe the current version will go longer ?

Not mk3 sorry, that's the current one.

The Mk.2 was really only a face lifted Mk.1.

Oh ok in that case do you think there's going to be a major face lift for the current one because all I can see has changed since 2008 is the citroen chevrons.

The major facelift with different front end & headlights for the older model happened in 2002, 6yrs into production. The facelift was needed, I would think, to replace the glass headlamps with modern type plastic to give the car another 6yrs or so of life, it certainly made the car look much more modern. The current model is less in need of a major facelift imho so perhaps if it happens maybe next yr it might not be so extreme as in '02.

The Mk 3 was changed March 2012. Minor modifications (to the XTR) included Horse Power upgraded by 5HP to 115 Slightly different front end which included Indicators and the addition of Daytime Running Lights. As far as I can tell it is still called the Mk3.

Really wish I'd gone for one of these instead of the grand picasso.
