i can remember every detail of the conversion as i did it all myself, the only bit i couldnt get working was the speedo due to it being put on the can network via the engine ecu and the magnetti marrelli 7.4.6 ecu didnt accept a speed input as it was configured and i couldnt reconfigure it as it had been de-immobilised, everything else just worked as it should Smile

ill find the pics of the seats and other bits and bobs in a mo

and some of my other cars......

full GTI-6 converted estate was fun on trackdays at donnington Wink

it did a quarter in 14.5 down the pod, i held my own with astra vxrs (ok he missed third but he only beat me by 0.1 seconds, and the wrx driver that did a 15 second run wasnt happy and wondered where the van had come from when he couldnt catch up lol

seat pictures for people who asked in the 306 seat thread...

insurance i am lucky with as its done via a traders policy where i can drive anything so the insurance was a null issue

it was done so it looked factory and it kinda worked out really nicely, even folding the wiring loom so the ecu fitted in the rear corner of the engine bay instead of the opposite front corner

I guess the questions I want to ask most are 'How much?' and 'Fancy doing another one?' Wink

good questions, but in all honesty my work isnt really interested in conversions, weve done a few before, but they tend to end up being a chore, being perfectly honest i probably spent at least two weeks of solid 8 hr days doing the conversion, and at 44.40 inc vat an hr thats a lot of wedge, not to mention the bits i needed to do the conversion, it probably set me back 2500 quid for parts inc base van alone, i broke even when i sold the van, to do another i reckon 5k to get it looking factory, daft stuff like rear disc conversion was done with factory brackets and adaptors to make a disc caliper handbrake cable fit as for the life of me the factors and pug couldnt sort one that was right lol, speedo was a spa design number that was calibrated to the van and had loads of functions as it was the only bit i couldnt get to work as per factory (could do it maybe if i had have known what i needed to do and configure before i had the immob removed from the ecu)

ps hell yeah i fancy building me another one! Smile
