Fuel consumption and price.
#1
Had my Berlingo now for a year, had its first sevice today. Had no problems so far. Mileage is 6441 and have done a few motorway miles and some long runs, the rest has been local. So far I have used 639 litres of diesel at an average price of £1.41 per litre. MPG has been 44.37 brim to brim, the computer showing 50.4 MPG. Total cost of £960.14p. I pay the Citroen servicing plan monthly so no major payout at servicing time. I should think that MPG will improve slightly with a bit more running in. I have the EGS gearbox. Cheers.

Trip computers have been hoodwinking unsuspecting drivers for years about how fuel efficient their cars are. They only true way is brim to brim then get the old calculator out. Plenty of folks brag about 'my computer says blah blah' computers tell big fat lies.

Yes had mine now 14 months and it only done 45.3 mpg thats a good mix of motorway, a and b roads and not doing much over the speed limits anywhere. Thats the average over the past 14 months and which most people should expect with these cars.
Its due new boots in the next month and will go for a slightly better make this time to see if mpg improves.

I'm not holding out much hope though.

A "true" 45MPG for a car as big as this with the aerodynamics of a brick is not too shabby (IMHO)
