Hello, my Multispace Forte's NS rear sliding door has been in the wars!
Ever since I got the car second hand the door has been dodgy, and I have had to push the door a bit to ease the release of the catch at the bottom to close the door. This had a strain on the (poor quality plastic) handle pivot pin which eventually snapped recently so I ordered the a metal replacement off ebay and fitted it today thinking that my problems were solved.
However having the door card off and looking at the cable it is very frayed with only 2 bits of the wire holding the thing together. This I believe is what caused the door to be so difficult to close as the cable was stretched. I can still just close the door with a bit of wiggling but it seems like its only a matter of time before the cable completely snaps.
Now the problem I have is finding a replacement cable? Google is not helping and I have not found any forums of people experiencing similar problems. I think my only option is to head down to a car scrap yard and get one form there but these days they charge you an arm and a leg for removing it. Any Ideas would be appreciated?
Thanks!
