I picked the Berlingo up today and am quite pleased with it. It drove well coming home and although we hit some really heavy traffic it averaged 45mpg so can't grumble. It's a bit barge like after the Roomster but to be honest the Skoda is really a cleverly designed small car. In effect a Fabia with a different back on. If it was parked at the far side of the Berlingo you wouldn't see it! The wife enjoyed herself stretched out with the armrest down. I like the high driving position as well and the ventilation is a revelation after the 2nd rate system in the Skoda. Citroen put seven quids worth of diesel in for me to get home and the needle never moved from empty. The red light stayed on all the way home too! I went to Asda and put 50 quids worth in which took it up to bang on 3/4 of a tank which it said is good for 450 miles so out on the open road that should improve a bit. I reckon a full tank would be ok for 600 miles as I don't drive too hard now. I got a full 12 months parts and labour warranty and 12 months roadside assistance as well. A very useful part of the warranty stated if the car failed an mot in the warranty period Citroen would replace the failed parts for free!
The one thing I am disappointed about is the advert stated "service history" but when I got home and looked in the pack there was no service book just a load of receipts.
So I am going to ring them on Monday and try and blag a service book from them. Also they sold me gap insurance and I told them I'd already got it on the Skoda. "Ah but its non transferable" they said. Wrong! I checked my policy when I got home and I can do a free transfer onto my new vehicle. Another phone call Monday and I will cancel the Citroen policy and get some cash back. Anyway generally a good experience and nice to be back in a Cit again.

Here's an update for my summer Berlingo purchase. Well as most will have read it did blot its copybook and blew the turbo a month ago! After a bit of argy bargy between the dealer and Citroen the repair was covered under the warranty and I collected the car last Friday. I've been treating it with kid gloves but when I've needed a spurt of power it's been there and it's running fine. Mpg is back up to mid 40's which I'm happy with. I think the dealer probably fitted the turbo filter when they did the job so I am going to ring my local garage tomorrow for an oil change and get the turbo filter removed at the same time if it is indeed fitted. Other than that the heater is definitely better than the Skoda although it does get a bit stuffy occasionally. All the storage is nice, especially the modutop, it's surprising what can be stored up there from the driver's seat. The driving experience is ok, as I said it feels a bit barge like but it does like A roads and long runs. Once I'm confident the turbo issue has settled down I have a Tunit module that I might try on it just to get a touch more mid range. It is pulling slightly to the left but the left front tyre is nearly shot so I'll see how it is with new tyres I think it will be ok.
So to summarize it's been a mixed bag with the turbo blowing, other than that it's not been too bad. I'm beginning to enjoy it again and hopefully I won't have any more issues.
