#1
Hi, I'm thinking of changing my cassette player in my 05 van ,I'm looking at getting a sony as they are half price at halfords ,will one fit directly into the van or do I need adapters for the power and speakers , and will the display panel still work showing the stations etc , Thanks

There was a Sony xplod fitted in my van when I bought it, so yes it will fit. Unless you're handy with wiring you will need to buy a wiring harness adaptor (Halfords again or eBay if you can wait). The dashboard display panel will no longer display radio information but will continue to display date and time info as normal. The steering column radio remote stalk will no longer work either.

If you want a CD player and to keep your dash display and remote stalk operational consider picking up a factory CD player from a scrappy or eBay and fitting that. A direct swap, no rewiring, but will require recoding by somebody with Lexia or a main stealer.
