reversing sensors

ok lets try another and sorry to be a pain but have only had the car a couple of weeks!!! when ever it seems to rain or slightly damp my reversing sensors seem to go off with the continual tone,,,, is that right ???? if i clean them carefully and dry them off they seem to work normally again,, are they over sensitive or faulty??? it seem s to rain a lot in wales,, also i do have a tow bar fitted,, but this dosnt affect when its a dry day,,,, help please

Hi, my Berli isn't that fancy (no reversing sensors) but it does sound like they're way too sensitive if getting them wet causes the alarm to sound. Something like the American B-2 bombers that aren't supposed to get wet and have to be kept in air conditioned hangers. I think someone will be along shortly with an answer.
