I have a 2006 55 plate Berlingo 1.9 diesel, in the rear offside wing tool space there is a cable with a socket on the end like a trailer towbar plug this plug is loose and not secured l have no idea where the cable is connected, in the past the car was motability but not wheelchair or anything adapted, any idea what this lead could have been for, the car sales had no idea. Any one any ideas what it could be for, the car does not have a tow bar nor it never has had one.

Are you sure it didn't have a wheelchair winch fitted? They're like a small hoist arm to lift the chair into an otherwise normal car.

There is no holes or any thing to suggest any winch or any other device has been fitted, the floor is standard with no alterations, l have no idea.

Can you post a photo of the socket ? that may help identify it.
