rear seat removal
Hi folks i have a 63 plate xtr and i want to know if the rear seats can be taken out , so i can put a bed idea i have so me and the wife can go touring  around Scotland the bed wont be a permanent fixing just a lift in and out job , but the seats have funny clips/ hinge system thanks
Yes the seats on the xtr do come out quite easy once you get the knack.Once you have folded them in to the upright position, release the catch and tilt them back at an angle then pull up,they should come out one by one.Hope this helps.

Indeed they are quite fiddly the first time to remove once you have mastered the knack it's a simple job.
If you look through the forums you will find where others have modified the back with sleeping arrangements, which may give you some ideas

I am going to use the Ikea wooden futon put some legs on it and just cut the sides to taper down to size the car is over 4 ft 6 wide at the front seats down to 4 ft at the rear has a great mattress it seams the easy way to do it . I have done ivecos and transits in the past but now disabled i want to go down the lazy way
