1.6 HDI Priming Turbo With Oil
#1
Hi guys when fitting a new turbo to the 1.6 hdi how to i prime the new turbo with oil? I have followed the steps of changing oil feed pipe to the turbo, new bango bolts with mesh filter removed + the oil pick up pipe in the sump. Thanks

easy way is to unplug the crank sensor and crank the engine for twenty seconds at a time with a minute break three or four times, ideally with the return disconnected to check oil is flowing, I thing with our its turbos we get a flow rat ie 50ml per thirty seconds or similar (that's not the right number but you get the idea Wink
