hi all can anybody help, i have just removed the gearbox (be4) from my 2003 dw8 to replace the clutch and it was a pig of a job to get the box out after i have fitted the new clutch and oil seal its got to go back in ,are there any tips to make refitting easy ,thanks smithy.

How is the car positioned? I didnt have access to a lift at the time and had the front up on axle stands. Putting the box back in I laid on my back rested it on my legs and lifted my knees basically. Its a bit of a tit single handed but can be done, easier with 2.

are you built like king kong , thanks for the reply the cars on axle stands when i removed the box it jammed on the sub frame .i was going to use a trolley jack and a spare son to refit it, any thoughts

I've always used a trolley jack,make sure it's balanced OK.
