Quad Horns
#1
Finally, my evil plan is complete.

The innocuous little red Berlingo now sounds awfully like an intercity train when giving a solid blast on the horn. I reckon if you blew it just as a car in front of you was driving across the level crossing, they'd drop one in their trousers.

Got any pix of where you mounted it? I've been wanting to replace that pathetic stock horn but don't want to have to pull the front bumper off to get at it.

Unfortunately I am a fussy critter, so I took off the bumper to wire it all in. I used the old horn feed wire to trigger a standard automotive relay, with battery voltage from an unused maxi-fuse slot (I had to use a recycled hi-amperage "tail" clipped into the maxi fuse slot and then crimped into my relay socket wiring). M49 and M59 Berlingos have the horn on the opposite side to the B9s.

I then ran separate new wires (positive and ground to the air horns, and spliced a new heavy gauge positive lead into the original horn connector. I connected from one electric horn to the next with a standard clip-on jumper wire pair (from pretty much any '04-'09 midrange PSA car) that I extended six inches.

After having a rubbish truck roll back nearly into my bonnet some months ago, a loud horn is priority.

OK, maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and go for it. I've got the manual with the pics on how to do it in general terms. Thanks for the post.

where did you get this horn at, you got a link? have a air horn on mine but ive always wanted a train one, i just got the original horn wires then spliced into them with scotch locks so it is easily removed and saves loads of hassle, what i did was get it on a lift for easy acces, saves removing the bumper
project "black and decked" my bagged mk3 berlingo
