Khumo Ecowing Tyres
#1
I've kept my lingo with Michelin Energy Savers from getting it from new, but on a look around the Khumo Ecowing has a better fuel efficiency rating, the same wet grip and tyre noise rating, but its only £51.68 fitted at Tesco's v £74+ for the MES.
Is anybody running the Kumho Ecowing Tyres on their Berlingo's and if so what are your thoughts?

It's all bollocks. Tyre is tyre. They have soft and they have hard rubber. Soft is good for grip driving and the hard one is nice if you want it to last couple of years or more. It will just perform poorly in the rain which does not affect our vehicles due to the power factor.

I'm not a tyre snob but you are oversimplifying it. Sidewall stiffness is often a key ingredient in the feeling of comfort (which in turn affects driving confidence and thus how "safe" a particular tyre feels), and some cheap tyres are diabolically out of balance even when new.

I have 25 years motorcycling experience and the subject of tyre composition, tread type etc, etc is very familiar to me and simple it is not...lol. Really looking for feedback on the Khumo as another reason for not really wanting to pay a MES price is that my lingo is now doing very low miles pa and side walls are cracking long before the tyres expired tread wise. Will be doing a couple of trips per year up to 2k miles fully loaded so want a decent tyre for just that reason.

I've been using Falken ZE912 and latterly 914 for many years and
they last well and are great value. Just a thought....

There has been a lot of discussion on here about tyres, its all about personal choice. What I find a good tyre is rubbish to another person and vice versa.

My friend had Kumho tyres on his 350Z and was highly satisfied with them in all departments. The ones you are looking at are made to the same standard they will be fine and that is a good price.
So where does this bit go then ?

..yep, did a search for Kumho before posting, not been discussed hence the question.
Thanks for the feed back guys, much appreciated. I'll have a nosey at those tyres OJ.

EDIT, can't find the ZE912 in a 70 profile on a 14 rim, did you rune them on a 65 OJ?
