Replacement seats
#1
Hello
Firstly my apologies if this has been discussed before or if this is in the wrong section but, I would like to replace the worn out front seats on my 2001 model 1.9D and wondered what the alternatives were? I was hoping for a straight swap with little or no modifications.
Thanks

It does come up often enough.

I put in a Xantia driver's seat on the Berlingo pressed steel base. Six welds to cut through, eight 5/16" holes to drill. Downside is you can't slide it quite so far back - it's thicker on the backrest.

Others have used 405 seats, 306, Xsara. Basically once you slice off the welds that hold the original seat's tubular frame to the pressed base halves, you're free to mount any '90s onwards Peugeot or Citroën seat that fits in width. I think XM and 605 seats are too large to clear the door.
