Berlingo 2006 Brake Lights
#1
Hi I have a 2006 Berlingo Multispace. Today the brake lights in the light clusters left and right packed up. Fuses and bulbs appear ok. Upper brake light above rear screen works ok.

Any ideas

Brake switch connections? I can't find a wiring diagram which includes the 3rd brake light. I would presume these would be off the same fuse (F5 inside car fuse box 10A).

This surely must be a cable connector plug fault. If the high level light is working normally
then the problem is not brake switch/fuse related unless the wonderful french electrics have the
main brake lights fused separately from the high level lamp. They wouldn't do that, would they?
Answers on a postcard....!!
Right....I have just checked in my Berlingo handbook (2006) and it says that the right hand stop lamp is fused at
10Amps on Fuse 20 (on the fuseboard next to the BSI unit below the steering wheel on the right)
However the left hand stop lamp is fused at 15Amps on Fuse 21. It is unlikely that both fuses have
blown as the brake lights are on different circuits. But I'll bet the feeds to the brake lights run through
the same connector and it's going to be at the rear of the car somewhere.....RUSTCRAT!!! 'Elp!!!

Hi, all.
Here's the circuit and cable runs. I would check for corroded connections on the back plane of the light clusters. Like OJ said the said the center stop light is just tapped of the near side brake lamp supply.
Let us know your findings.
Check your Earths aswell - MC60, MC61 & MC65.

I just bought my Berlingo privately and it had the same problem and on one side it was the block connection, I simply used a small screwdriver and moved the pins so they were closer together on the female end and it worked and on the other side it was simply a bulb but I did the same to its female connection as well and now they work perfectly
