How quickly does it fire up when cranking? Only asking as IIRC the ECU has to see 300rpm cranking speed before firing the injectors / starting the engine. The standard 2.0hdi starter is 1.4kw and stru... |

Mine did this a few years ago, you can diagnose it by just disconnecting the MAF sensor and the car will drive better straight away without putting any warning lights up. |

Hi, This "excitation voltage" is produced from the Bsi and connects to the alternator through the engine bay fuse box.
Check all engine bay fuse connections and also the Bsi connections.

The alternator needs 12v to make it work.
This is usually supplied through the ignition switch. Faulty ignition switch ? |
