Day time running lights

my 1st post so please be gentle, especially if this is a regular question. 

Just taken delivery of my new berlingo van with "look pack". 
Is it possible to have the DRL's on all the time, even when side lights and main beam is on ?

Afraid not. It may be something that's programmable in the ECU. I fitted CREE canbus error free sidelights just for that extra look when it's starting to get dark.

I suggest you have a read of this and you will see why daylight running lights cannot be on with other lights. http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/saf...ights.html

So why do other citroens have the DRL's illuminated and so many other manufacturers are the same. My wife's grand Picasso has its DRL's on when other lights are illuminated?

I think you will fined when the other lights are on the DRL will dim down

That's what I would expect. My wife's car certainly doesn't though.

No its illegal to have DRL on while head lights are on.

I'll take a picture later when she is home. Her DRL's are certainly on at night when the dipped beam is illuminated and so far as I know the car has had no changes to it since it was built.
