[Warning Light] Hazard lights not working
#1
Hi everyone.
New member here and also a first time Citroen owner.
I recently bought a cheap little Berlingo Mk1 ( 2000 registered ) van with just over 200k on the clock.
I'm surprised at how good the little thing is considering age and mileage!!
He's got a few little problems which I'm fixing at the moment.
One problem that has me stuck at the moment is that the hazard warning lights don't work. i have checked the fuse in the cab which is ok. i have also swapped the switch with a second hand one with no difference.
When i press the switch its light goes out and it also stops the indicators from working.
If there's anyone who can point me to where to look next id be grateful
Thanks Martin

Your symptoms are a sign of a dodgy switch , it switches off the indicators but doesn't switch on the hazards. As you have changed it is the s/hand one OK. ?. I've found a good working on and off a few times sometimes brings the switch back to life. Check all the fuses in the cabin fuse box. (3 I think )

If still not working try the fuses in the engine fuse box.

Thanks for the info brodfather11, I will mess about with the spare switch after work to see if it comes back to life.
Do you jnow what the fuse No's are? My hand book only shows 1 in the cabin ( 27 if I remember correctly ) and nothing for the outside fues box.
Thanks also Iank is the hazard relay and flasher relay the same 1?

Hi Marty, to find the relay have indicators on you will hear it clicking then find which one by touching it you will feel it clicking then put hazards on give it a wiggle about even a light tap. Yes should be same relay for both hazards and indicators.
