MK2 Modutop blower fan not working - any help appreciated

I've been wracking my brain on this fault, in the hope of an easy fix cratch:

The blower fan in my Modutop is not working at all, and I have checked what fuses I think should be protecting its circuit, well an educated guess at the fuse being a 30 Amp one? I located 3 such fuses in the fusebox to the bottom right of the steering wheel and one 30A in the fuse box to the right of the battery, all are intact.

The two 12V auxiliary sockets are working in the compartments either side of the blowers, as too are the courtesy lights throughout.

Am I looking at the right Amperage fuse, and in fact am I looking in the right place?

I don't possess an owners manual yet, and my trawl through the forum didn't result in the answers I need :brickwall:

Has anyone else had this problem or similar, as the thought of having to drop the Modutop to access the blower unit doesn't exactly fill me with joy!

I haven't done that Addo, as I'm not sure how to access the connectors on the loom without dropping the Modutop. I can see the loom running through the centre roof pocket, but it appears that the blower is not accessible through any openings?

Do I need to drop the Modutop to do a proper job? cratch:

The owners manual or the Paynes manual do not cover the modutop on the Mk2. If you do drop the modutop, or at least the interia compartments/fan etc, have a helper. I did it once to look at the hinges for the rear lockers. Once you drop it there are a number of cables that need to be disconnected. Not something you can do when you are holding up the modutop interia.

Thank you for that. I was wondering how many limbs I would have to use to do the job properly. I was on the verge of buying a Haynes manual, but no point if it doesn't cover the Modutop!, although I would imagine the wiring diagram includes the blower?

I have found some Citroen service manuals (service box) online, so they may be more informative.

I've just bought a Citroen Servicebox 2012, so I should get my info there. I was amazed to see that the quick install version of this programme takes 2 hours to run and the full installation takes 6 hours! :eek::brickwall:

Not checked myself but I suspect the sunroof feed supplies the blowers have you checked this fuse?

Sorry, I can't help, except to say that I had the same problem not long after I bought mine. The Citroen dealer said it was necessary to remove the complete modutop at an enormous cost. Several hundred euros. I declined and have done without it.

Somebody also mentioned the hinged lockers in the same area. Mine came loose and banged away all the time. At the dealers I was told almost the same story, many, many euros. I removed them myself and have happily been content with open lockers ever since. They work perfectly like that, nothing falls out because the original lids wouldn't have held anything back anyway and they do have a bit of a lip.

Same here, both my hinges broke where the plastic snapped. Look like a simple job to remove them, then realised the whole modutop had to come off. I may just tape mine closed. If you do find any details on dropping modutop please advise.
