You can do that , but I find it far easier to take the top off the brake fluid resovior and just keep an eye on the level as you push it in. Saves you having to bleed the brakes.

You need to read the codes, Your working blind if you don't as it could be any number of things. You can get a reader off eBay for a tenner which uses an app on your smartphone called torque.

Sounds like a dead battery, So its either faulty battery, faulty alternator or you left something on and drained your battery.

Doesn't the immobiliser prevent the fuel pump from working? Did the change the ecu when you changed the engine? Tried applying 12 volts direct to the pump to get it to run?

How did he suggest how you fix it? Somewhere along the line you have a live short to the washer pump which is in front of the stalk if that makes sense.

You were lucky it didn't fail almost straight away after..... Did they drop the sump , clean that out and check the gauze on the pick up pipe?
